This Teddy Bear Party Dessert Table is bursting with cute, with both polar bear and brown bear treats ranging from cookies to cake.

Your Golden Birthday is when your age matches the day of the month in which you were born. For my oldest daughter, that happened to be when she turned 13. We celebrated with a Golden Birthday Party, where the theme was just "gold."
I made Gold Painted Macarons, Gold Painted Cookies, Gold Painted Oreos, and served several candies that come in gold wrappers. Being a teenager, this was enough of a theme for her, in her opinion.
For my youngest daughter's Golden Birthday, I wanted to include more of a theme than just "gold," as it would feel like a repeat of her older sister's birthday 5 months prior.
I decided to do a Golden Teddy Bear theme to honor her two beloved teddy bears: Huggie and Brown Hug.

These Hallmark Kiss Kiss Bears were a gift to me from my college roommate, but my daughter discovered them when she was 19 months old and has never looked back. I couldn't "bear" to pack them away with the Christmas decorations, so they became her constant companions. Even at age 9, she is rarely without them when at home.
Since Huggie is a polar bear and Brown Hug is a teddy bear, I came up with the idea to do a split table with one half of the table featuring polar bear treats and the other half displaying teddy bear treats. Of course, this meant making every dessert in duplicate, which did present a challenge, but I do love a good challenge.

My daughter loved this party so much, and I did too. It was bursting with cuteness!

Here, I share all of the details for the dessert table decorations and the recipes for the polar bear and teddy bear treats!

Dessert Table Decor
Just like at my oldest daughter's Golden Birthday, I used a gold fringe backdrop for this table. First, I hung disposable gold tablecloths, then I placed the shiny gold fringe curtains on top with some gold star banners hanging vertically.
To cover the top where they are attached to the wall, I hung metallic gold balloons using balloon decorating tape.
I hung a large gold "9" mylar balloon above the center of the table, with a "Happy Birthday" banner in front. Both of these are from Target.

I covered the table with the same gold sequin tablecloth that I've used for the Wizard of Oz Birthday, Starbucks Birthday and Golden Birthday.
To add some height to the table, I used gold patterns of wrapping paper around empty cardboard boxes and around the cake pop block. I've used this same styrofoam block for cake pops for many parties, including Sesame Street and Apple Cake Pops at a Snow White Party.
Paper Products
Since the focus of my effort centered around the dessert table, I kept the rest of the party decorations simple and just used gold disposable tablecloths, gold paper plates, cups and napkins.

The "happy birthday" snack plates, gold snack cups and gold striped napkins are from Target. The gold scalloped dessert plates are from Walmart.

For the adult table, I used silver and white candle holders that I already owned to decorate down the center of the table.

Teddy Grahams
On the polar bear side of the dessert table, I used Honey Teddy Grahams in gold treat cups.

On the teddy bear side, I used Chocolate Teddy Grahams.

Golden Teddy Bear Oreos
I made these Golden Teddy Bear Chocolate Covered Oreos to go in the center of the table because they represent both sides and flavors.

I used beautiful edible gold glitter on top of them.

Cake Pops
I displayed these adorable Polar Bear Cake Pops on the left side of the cake pop display and Teddy Bear Cake Pops on the right side.

The Polar Bear Cake Pops have vanilla cake inside and are covered with vanilla flavored white chocolate.

Bear Macarons
For the macarons, I made Polar Bear Macarons filled with vanilla buttercream and Chocolate Teddy Bear Macarons filled with chocolate ganache.

I displayed them on a 3-tiered server with a Happy Golden Birthday cutout attached to the top. I purchased this sign for my oldest daughter's Golden Birthday and reused it here.

The Polar Bear Macarons follow my Nut Free French Macaron recipe but are decorated with cute polar bear faces.

The Teddy Bear Macarons have a chocolate flavored shell that almost tastes like a brownie. They are still nut free and gluten free like all of the macarons I make.

Bear Paw Cookies
These Easy Polar Bear Paw Cookies were displayed on the polar bear side of the table.

They are made with store bought sugar cookie dough and take just minutes.

The Chocolate Bear Paw Cookies are made with a simple chocolate cookie dough and bittersweet chocolate.

They are a super simple recipe.

Decorated Bear Cookies

My Easy Polar Bear Cookies have a soft glaze and minimal royal icing details to keep the cookies easy to bite.

These Teddy Bear Cookies have a simple design made with royal icing.

I used several shades of brown to distinguish the different parts of the teddy.

Bear Birthday Cakes
Two birthday cakes may seem like a lot, and it is, but I made them as 6-inch cakes and used the leftover cake batter to make the Polar Bear and Teddy Bear Cake Pops.
This Polar Bear Cake has vanilla cake layers and Easy Vanilla Buttercream inside and outside.

The Teddy Bear Cake is chocolate cake filled with Easy Vanilla Buttercream and covered with Easy Chocolate Buttercream.
