Here I share all the decorations and recipes for a Starbucks Birthday Party that I threw for my 9 year old daughter and 70 year old mother. This is the perfect party theme for those who love coffee and chocolate!

My daughter asked for a Starbuck's Birthday Party for her 9th birthday. I loved the idea of this theme because her birthday is in winter and I envisioned a hot chocolate and coffee bar with lots of toppings. We were also celebrating my mom's 70th birthday, and I knew she would love this as well.
This theme also lends itself to lots of great desserts: cake pops, cookies, and of course the flavors of coffee and chocolate.
We had a lot of the fun with this theme!
Decorations
For the backdrop of the dessert table, I wanted to create a chalkboard-looking menu board. To do this, I used black kraft paper and wrote on it with a chalkboard marker.
I used the same champagne gold fringe curtains from this Nutcracker Birthday but parted it in the center and tied back each side with thin curling ribbon to create a curtain look.
I cut the Starbucks logo out of white cardstock and mounted it on a circle of green cardstock then attached this to the black paper.

I wrote the words "We Proudly Serve" around the logo, then wrote two coffee "blends" with descriptions of each: one for my mom and one for my daughter.
To hid where the backdrop attached to the wall at the top, I used a variety of gold, green, black, and white balloons in a balloon strip hung from tiny Command clips with curling ribbon.
For the table, I covered it with this gold sequin tablecloth that I also used for this Wizard of Oz Party, and later for this Golden Birthday Party.
I labeled all of the desserts with these small chalkboard signs that I wrote on using a chalkboard marker.
To create sticker labels for these white disposable travel coffee cups, I saved the Starbucks logo as a jpg and placed it in a PowerPoint file. I printed these on full-sheet label paper and used a 2-inch craft punch to cut out the circles. I placed the stickers on the disposable coffee cups and cardboard sleeves.

I covered the kitchen table and countertop with black disposable tablecloths.
As a centerpiece for the kitchen table, I placed old coffee beans inside a glass dome with a white battery-operated tealight candle inside. To the outside, I attached a Starbucks logo that I printed on white cardstock and cut out using a 2-inch circular punch. This star and moon table scatter was leftover from a Galaxy Birthday, so I picked out the stars and sprinkled those down the table, as well as placed more cardstock logos on the table.

For paper products, I used these 3 types of paper napkins with metallic designs and black plates and bowls with clear disposable cutlery.

I used my Silhouette machine to cut the Starbucks logo in green glitter heat transfer vinyl to make shirts for the girls and my mom.

Hot Chocolate and Coffee Bar
My girls love getting hot chocolate at Starbucks. Since this is a child's birthday party, I wanted to have a Hot Chocolate Bar. I started with a large batch of this Homemade Hot Chocolate.

I transferred it to a crock pot, with a large ladle for serving.
The toppings for the hot cocoa bar included mini chocolate chips, marshmallow bits, mini marshmallows, and chocolate covered marshmallows. I used these small wooden scoops for the smaller toppings.

We also had whipped cream and 3 types of Ghirardelli syrups: chocolate, caramel, and sea salt caramel.
This was such a hit that we did it again at this Parisian Cafe Birthday the next year!

We made coffee available as an option for the adults, so I placed 2% milk, half and half, and heavy cream in these empty Starbucks Frappuccino bottles. My mom occasionally drinks these, so I asked her to save me the bottles.

I also served this Starbucks Medium Roast Iced Coffee in case anyone wanted a cold drink.

Desserts
In my sorority, we used to host an event with cappuccino and these Pepperidge Farm Pirouette Cookies. They always make me think of coffee, so I wanted to feature them on the dessert table.
Because of my nut allergy, I avoided the hazelnut ones and got these "chocolate fudge" ones.

My uncle really loved Starbucks chocolate covered graham crackers until they stopped selling them. I decided to add some white candy melt stripes and green sanding sugar to store bought chocolate covered graham crackers to help fit the theme.

I did the same to some store bought fudge covered Oreos that I first painted with gold luster dust for another semi-homemade treat.

Ella requested these Thick and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies, which are bakery style cookies. They remind me cookies you would find in a coffee house.

These Espresso Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies are so buttery with the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate flavors.

One of Ella's favorite treats at Starbucks is their cake pops, so we knew cake pops were a must for this party.
For these Birthday Cake Pops, I followed all the same steps as these Ruby Red Cake Pops, but I used a confetti cake mix with Easy Vanilla Buttercream and coated them in green candy melts with green sparkling sanding sugar.

For her birthday cake, I made this Mocha Cheesecake that I drizzled with Ghirardelli Salted Caramel Sauce that I had as a topping on the hot chocolate bar.
I kept it simple and just added some gold and silver Wilton Edible Accents stars and a plastic gold glitter "Happy Birthday" sign that I got from Walmart years ago and have reused for several birthdays.

For my mom's cake, my sister found this Tiramisu Bar Cake at Costco. She added some chocolate covered espresso beans on top, and we put a gold glitter "Happy Birthday" sign and 7-0 gold candles.
