Here, I share details and recipes for a Wicked Birthday Party and Dessert Table. The table is divided into a green side for Elphaba and a pink side for Glinda. It features a Wicked Birthday Cake, Nut Free Wicked Macarons, Wicked Cake Pops, Wicked Cookies, and candies.

My oldest daughter chose Wicked as the theme for her most recent birthday. Her younger sister had a Wizard of Oz birthday several years ago, so I was excited for this theme.
The movie "Wicked: For Good" was released just prior to the party, so Wicked decor was readily available in stores and online. We found a bunch of ideas on Pinterest and pulled from our favorites.

The showpiece of the table was the Wicked Birthday Cake, but we included other treats and desserts as well.
Dessert Table
Much like I did with the Teddy Bear Birthday Party, where I divide the desserts table into a Polar Bear side and a Teddy Bear side, here I divided the table into a green Elphaba side and a pink Glinda side. I mirrored the table to match the Wicked cake and the "Happy Birthday" banner.

Some of the Wicked logos have the green on the left while some have it on the right. It's a matter of personal preference, so I went with green on the left since it seems like more of the movie posters had it on the left.
I used the same Emerald City tapestry backdrop that I used for the Wizard of Oz Birthday Party. Then, I hung green metallic tinsel foil curtains on the left and pink metallic tinsel foil curtains on the right.
For the table, I created a green side and a pink side using holographic disposable tablecloths. These came in a package of two per color, so I used the second green tablecloth on the kids' table and the second pink tablecloth on the kitchen peninsula where the buffet would be.
For the balloons, I used a balloon arch kit to make green on one side and pink on the other. I wasn't thrilled with some of the green balloons that came in this pack. They were more army green rather than bright.
I ended up not blowing those up and instead adding in some that I had leftover from the Zoo Birthday Party.

I still like this kit of balloons because it also came with the mylar witch hat and wand balloons, but it's important to note that I did substitute some of the green balloons.
I use a balloon decorating strip that I save for each party. Mine is sturdier than the one that came in the kit.

I got a pack of Wicked posters at Five Below and chose my favorite ones to hang up around the dessert table.

This little twig tree is a decoration that I use for Halloween and Thanksgiving, but I thought it fit the Elphaba side well. I use battery operated string lights on the branches. They are embedded in old coffee beans in a tall glass vase. I place a witch hat from our Halloween costumes on top of the branches.

This light up Wicked sign is from Five Below. I loved it so much that I had to find a spot for it on the table. I ended up tying it to the top of this 3 tiered server.

I filled these little plastic shoes with white pearlized Sixlets candies to represent the silver shoes worn by Nessie. I originally used these for a Cinderella Birthday to represent the glass slippers, then again for the Wizard of Oz Birthday for the ruby slippers. Since Wicked uses the silver shoes from the original L. Frank Baum book, I went with that here.

Desserts
I followed my Nut Free French Macarons recipe to make these Nut Free Wicked Macarons. They are filled with Easy Vanilla Buttercream.

I made some that were pink on both sides, some green on both sides, and some with one pink side and one green side.

I dusted the pink shells with edible pink glitter. For some of the all pink macarons, I painted "Popular" on the top shell, and for some of the all green shells, I painted "defy gravity" on the top shells.

For the Wicked Cake Pops, I made both green and pink cake pops following my Easy Cake Pops recipe.

I used black and white striped paper straws that I got around Halloween for the green cake pops.

For the pink cake pops, I used plastic silver wands that I got from Walmart many years ago. I used these wands to make Princess Cake Pops and also as decoration for the Wicked Birthday Cake. These from Amazon are similar.

For the Wicked Sugar Cookies, I made vanilla shortbread cookies and decorated them with royal icing.

I share the step by step details for how to make them in the post.
I found this Wicked cotton candy at Five Below.

These pink candies are Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Raspberry squares.

The green candies are Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Mint Cookie squares.

Cake
For the Wicked Cake, I made a green Elphaba side and a pink Glinda side, separated by a yellow brick road that leads to the Emerald City.

The top of the cake is decorated it a fondant witch hat that I made and a silver metal crown.

Drinks
We served Emerald City Punch at the Wizard of Oz Birthday Party.
This time, my daughter requested Homemade Hot Chocolate, which is always a crowd pleaser.

I made a big batch on the stove and transferred it to a crockpot for serving.
As I did for this Starbucks Birthday, Parisian Cafe Birthday, and Alice in Wonderland Birthday, I made a themed sticker to put on the white disposable coffee cups for the hot chocolate.
To do this, I added a design to PowerPoint and duplicated it many times on a single sheet, then printed it on full sheet adhesive labels. I cut them out using my paper cutter and then place each on a white disposable coffee cup.

I also added some to the cardboard sleeves for the cups.

The small pink paper cups came in a kit with the paper plates and napkins.
Table Decorations
To decorate the kids' table, I just placed a pink 3-tiered server of macarons in the center.

The server is flanked by sets of silver shoes and white balloon weights from Dollar Tree that I had from another party.

I used the same balloon weights to decorate the buffet where we served snacks and dinner.

For the adult table, I covered the table with a disposable pink tablecloth from Walmart and used a bunch of silver home decor, like candle holders, that I already owned down the center of the table.

These plates in dinner and desserts sizes as well as the napkins came in a kit with the paper cups and "Happy Birthday" banner.
