This green Emerald City Punch is the perfect drink to serve at a Wizard of Oz or Wicked themed birthday party! It is a delicious, non-alcoholic punch and a kid favorite. It's green color also makes it perfect for a St. Patrick's Day celebration, Christmas, or Grinch party!

For my middle daughter's 8th birthday, we did a Wizard of Oz theme. I had so much fun with planning this party!
She really wanted a special drink at the party, so we went with this green Emerald City Punch. It's a similar idea to my favorite Pink Citrus Punch. Both recipes combine Kool-Aid, pineapple juice, sherbet/ice cream and ginger ale.
Now with the popularity of Wicked, this punch would fit that theme as well!

Ingredients
- Blue Kool-Aid
- Granulated Sugar
- Water
- Pineapple Juice
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Ginger Ale
Mixing Up the Punch
Empty the contents of the Kool-Aid packet into a large punch bowl.

Add the sugar, water, and pineapple juice.

Stir until the sugar has dissolved.

Scoop the ice cream onto the surface of the punch.

Pour the ginger ale on top of and around the ice cream so it foams.

Serve immediately.

Variation
You can use lime sherbet in place of the vanilla ice cream if you like that flavor. I'm not the biggest fan of lime sherbet, so I did vanilla.
Gluten Free Option
This punch is naturally gluten free!
