Oven Dried Tomatoes are made in your oven instead of the sun but still have that concentrated tomato flavor. Add them to salads, pastas, pizzas, and more!
Have you tried Oven Dried Tomatoes before? It's this cool method of drying tomatoes that doesn't require the sun, but essentially the end result is something that tastes similar to a sun dried tomato. The "drying" process removes moisture and concentrates the tomato flavor.
These tomatoes are great on salads, in pastas, on pizzas, etc. I used them to make this Oven Dried Tomato Bruschetta and as a topping for this Cauliflower Crust Pizza.
Recipe Details
You can use as few or as many tomatoes as you want for this recipe. The first step is to cut all of the cherry or grape tomatoes in half lengthwise and place them on a foil lined baking sheet, cut side facing up.
Next, drizzle them with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar. Finally, dry them by baking at a low heat (225°F) for 3 hours.
