I have been making these Healthy Baked Chicken Meatballs for years. My kids have always loved them, and my husband and I do too.
I have shared these Mozzarella Stuffed Turkey Meatballs in the past, which are delicious, but they take a little more time to make. These meatballs can be made in just minutes for an easy weeknight meal.

You want to make sure not to overwork the meat.

Form and Bake the Meatballs
Ground chicken and turkey are notoriously more difficult to form into meatballs because they have less fat than ground beef and are stickier.
My biggest tip for making nicely shaped chicken meatballs is to spray your hands with olive oil or cooking spray before rolling the meat.
I usually use a dough scoop to scoop out the meat on a foil lined baking sheet and then spray my hands and pick up each portion to roll it. This usually requires respraying your hands one or two times during the process.
Alternatively, you can pour a small dish of olive oil and dip your fingers in it as needed before you roll the meat.

Once all of the meatballs have been formed, bake them until the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F.

Serving Suggestions
You can serve these meatballs with your favorite shape pasta and marinara sauce, or just serve the meatballs with sauce alongside a salad for a low carb option.
Another lower carb option is to place the meatballs in an oven safe dish, cover in marinara and mozzarella or provolone cheese, and broil until bubbly.
Variation
You can use ground turkey in place of the ground chicken if you prefer.
Gluten Free Option
Use gluten free bread crumbs.
