Transfer the cake or cheesecake to a white cake stand. Sprinkle the top with white cake sparkles and gold and silver edible stars.
Decorate the Tree
Place a glass Christmas tree and jar on top of the cake, off center toward the edge.
Scatter sugar pearls over the buttercream to represent ornaments on the tree.
Place a gold painted star-shaped Iced Vanilla Shortbread Cookie on top of the tree.
Make the Nutcracker Figures
Print Nutcracker ballet figures on a white cardstock. Cut them out and tape them to toothpicks.
Carefully insert the toothpicks into the top of the cake, spacing the figures so you can see them easily.
Finish Decorating the Cake
Gently press Royal Icing Snowflakes into the sides of the cake and on top. If you have piped a number for the age, press that into the buttercream on the Christmas tree.
Place a few Cherry Cordial Mice on the cake stand around the cake. Sprinkle cake sparkles on the cake stand around the cake.
Place the cake stand on top of a round serving tray and cover with faux snow.
