Not your average turkey burger, these burgers are seasoned with cooked onions, garlic, and herbs for a delicious alternative to traditional hamburgers.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook about 1 minutes longer. Remove from the heat and transfer to a large mixing bowl. Allow to cool.
Add the ground turkey, salt, pepper, herbs, and remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the bowl containing the cooled onion mixture. Mix well to blend. Divide into 4 equal portions and form into patties.
Grill on lightly oiled grates of a gas or charcoal grill, or cook the burgers in a pan brushed with olive oil.
