A healthy Baked Oatmeal recipe that will fill the air with the smell of freshly baked oatmeal cookies. Use your favorite dried fruit for a hearty, filling breakfast.
1tablespoonchopped walnutsor nut of choice, optional
1teaspoonbaking powder
1 ½cupsmilk
½cupapplesauce
2tablespoonsbuttermelted
1large eggbeaten
Cooking spray
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
Combine the first 5 ingredients (or 4 if omitting nuts) in a large bowl.
2 cups old fashioned oats, ½ cup packed light or dark brown sugar, ⅓ cup raisins, 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts, 1 teaspoon baking powder
In a separate bowl, combine the milk, applesauce, butter, and egg. Add milk mixture to oat mixture; stir well.

Pour oat mixture into prepared dish. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until baked through and it reaches the consistency you prefer. The longer you cook it, the firmer it will be. Serve warm.
