Homemade Mango Lassi

A simple take on a traditional Indian drink. Sweet mango spiced with cardamom.

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup mango pulp (or chopped mango)
  • 4 teaspoons sugar (or more to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom (plus more for sprinkling )
  • 5-7 ice cubes


  • Put ice, mango, yogurt, milk, sugar, and cardamom into a blender and blend for 2 minutes.
  • Pour into individual glasses, sprinkle with a little cardamom, and serve. Can be stored in refrigerator for up to 24 hours.


Note: Mango pulp can be found at international foods stores.  The flavor will be more robust using mango pulp than with fresh or canned mango slices.
